This may be very heavy, but it is also very cool! I really like this piece. It is one of those wonderful things one sees occasionally that looks impossible. Great work,great design, and great idea!

it is not heavy, it is my lamp..

thanks rob.

the base is heavy, about 60 pounds. the shade is about five pounds. hope the rod holds.. ;-)

the most difficult part was fabricating the fixture for the bulb, though.
