Someone called it the "Death Lamp"

I prefer to think of it as a night stand. The top light is halogen, adjustable to throw a light on your book. The body light shines through mica and is operated by touching anywhere on the metal.

Wild!

Apparently that "someone" hasn't seen your mailbox.  Even though it's my thing exactly, it is very cool.  I like the switch idea.

I can see why they call it that. It's like a post star wars thing. I think it is excellent.

K, there`s something I like

K, there`s something I like about your piece, and something more difficult to explain which I don`t like as much.it`s the two sides of thecoin. Probably, you`ve managed to convey well the duality concept. Not easy thing to do. I like the fire colors, maybe it`s that what sort of brings a hell image to mind, fire and darkeness you know. The briliant component at the top inspires me peace and clear light. This part may be synonimous to death:separation of soul and body... but definetely you`re name is spelled right. Death, yes, whoever told you, I agree with him. Hey k, there`s even a sequence of cocepts: after playing with your mail box, one may end up on the lamp huh!Good. nelson.

Lovely lamp

Would just like to say what a great lamp you have made, love the colours through the mica, a real warm glow. I would really like to see a close up of the actual lamp. i cannot quite see the form. Great work.

Actually Adrian, if you

Actually Adrian, if you click on the "original" link at the bottom of his original posting, you will get the large original image. It's actually quite large and shows a considerable amount of detail.

BTW, very unique end-table-light! Has a "sci-fi" look to it.

WOW, thank you QuiQue didn`t
