were the squares fabricated?

very nice! Did you have to fabricate all the squares, or did you get square stock and cut pieces off?

Thats fantastic Janet. I

Thats fantastic Janet. I like the way only some of the squares have been polished...it gives the piece an extra dimension.

What sort of finish have you put on there? Is that wax or laquer? I like the colour.

Thanks Guys!

Hi Everyone,

For our visitor: some squares were cut offs from tubing ,some 1/4" some 1/2" to give it a variety of up and down. The squares with the glass tiles were fabricated to fit the tiles.Everything was sanded but not really polished even the inside of the squares! EEK! that was a bit of a pain.... I use a laquer called Nyolak from a California based company...sprayed on. It's got good holding power if not in a high moisture area. This piece was a test of patience but I really enjoyed doing it. Very meditative!
By the way Peter I also love Splash! What a phenomenal Piece!!!!!! janet R.
