Thanks Bill, the concept was a wave of water so the fact that you can see motion is great. I had it powder coated this crackled blue color to try and give it the feel of water, and I think I might have liked it better with a more natural finish. The color is great, but powder coating covers both the bad and good little nuances of hand made metal work. At the show it kind of felt like it was made in a factory. This piece has so much "flow" to it that it would have probably taken as long to design it in CADD as to just go ahead and make it. Also, scratch-built work retains the "SOUL" of the builder better than CADD or CNC work. I always get my best fabricating ideas while working the metal. Even if I use my CADD program, (Bently MicroStation)I have to leave room for serendipitous decisions during fabrication. Nic East, Jim Thorpe, PA USA ![]() AWESOME
