Frank, as a horse person, the ears seem too small to me and the ridges in the face a little too prominent. Can't wait to see it transformed into metal. Lin

Ridges = Rebar

Hi Lin,
You are absolutely correct. What I did was try to accentuate any obvious lines to guide myself where to make my re-bar pieces.I'll make those ears mo bigga too thanks.

Oh now I get what you mean

Oh now I get what you mean for lines. Cool way of doing it and you are good with the clay.
See I cheat to save time, I go to Michael's and they have hard rubber animals and things made by Safari and really great detail. Don't tell anybody okay? Only cost $5 and then you can give them any to some kids.

No Batteries

Hi Warren,
I think it was Michael's where I got the clay.I don't have any fancy programs but the clay seems to work really well for me, no batteries or blue screens either.

Hi Frank, nice looking

Hi Frank, nice looking horse, I agree with Lin about the ears, but other than that is looks great. It has a really intense feel to it. I'm anxious to see what comes from it.

Plastic Medium

Hi Jake,
You sure can add drama with a plastic medium. A push here and a tug there and wallah!I can add new ears and turn his head, open his mouth.... I love clay.Emphasizing the strong lines ends up making the model more of a characature.

Finally Got Started

Hi Mele,
I finally got started today on the rebar version.I hope I do justice to such a beautiful creature.I'll just tack those ears on,when I get that far, 'cause I'll probably get them wrong.

I like the fierceness of the animal. I like where it's going, and can't wait to see it finished.

Doing Battle

Hi Bill,
Hey, what have ya'll been up to? I'm pretty sure I need to just make a horse head first, as this animal is very new for me. However, my ultimate goal is to create a horse that is doing battle. Maybe I'm already going there subconsciously. What I do know is that my wife wants our bathroom remodeled RIGHT NOW, so this project is out to pasture for just a bit.

Yours too

Frank that is funny because mine is after me to do ours, she has been putting paint colors up all day trying to decide which paint I am to use.
Yep things on hold a couple of days at least. Just a minor freshen up.

Ha!! I'm also stuck doing

Ha!! I'm also stuck doing home repairs. I hope to keep the cold out this winter. I have so many things I could be working on, i just end up starting what ever moves me at the moment. All the big stuff i seem to keep putting off and just knock out the little things I can do in a day or two.
