Copper Restoration Project- "THE SICK DAYS OF SUMMER"

I've been seriously ill since the day I reconstructed this palm leaf branch.
5 days of violent vomiting, no sleep, plus a constent head-ache and continued weakness that hasn't let up for going on two weeks.

Hi Don: In regards to your palm leaf branch made of copper,it`s gorgeous. I`m trying to get into copper work, but must be aware of subtle yet serios risks abot working with such metal. When you say you got seriously ill after the copper leaf work,was there a conection between doing that work and yor getting sick? Excuse me if i`m missing something. If there is such relationship, please tell us what happen, fumes, or what! Anyway, hope you`re ok now.

Nelson,

The sickness come from the resturation of the original palm leaf. It's fabrication included the new and old cooper and lead; on top of that, a 100-years of patina. The process of dismanteling and reconstruction, and the by-products: FUMES, caused the sickness.
