It's made of 45lb. solid, wet, oversized bricks. The base is 4'x4'; and reaches 13' at the top. We build it, then carve the flowers. We're making three more. The inside is filled with bricks. It's built onsight at the brick factory. Then taken apart, fired, boxed and sent to the artist, Jerome Ferretti. At first, he commissioned me to make carving tools for this huge job. After I made the tools he asked me to help him with the job. I said yes. Now I'll spend the next month building and carving flowers in wet bricks. Its hard work, but who's going to do it? Jerome told me that this project is the largest 3-D carved brick work in North America. » reply brick

Thank you Don, are the bricks covered with something?what did this artist Jerome Ferretti give you a drawing??Why wouldn't he do his own work??or are you just helping him do it..I guess if you have the money anything is possible<s>I guess I feel that if you are not doing it your self you cant get all the credit... are you going to get the credit for constructing it??or helping in the construction? » reply brick work
