It's made of 45lb. solid,

It's made of 45lb. solid, wet, oversized bricks. The base is 4'x4'; and reaches 13' at the top. We build it, then carve the flowers. We're making three more. The inside is filled with bricks. It's built onsight at the brick factory. Then taken apart, fired, boxed and sent to the artist, Jerome Ferretti. At first, he commissioned me to make carving tools for this huge job. After I made the tools he asked me to help him with the job. I said yes. Now I'll spend the next month building and carving flowers in wet bricks. Its hard work, but who's going to do it? Jerome told me that this project is the largest 3-D carved brick work in North America.

Thank you Don, are the bricks covered with something?what did this artist Jerome Ferretti give you a drawing??Why wouldn't he do his own work??or are you just helping him do it..I guess if you have the money anything is possible<s>I guess I feel that if you are not doing it your self you cant get all the credit... are you going to get the credit for constructing it??or helping in the construction?

Here's Jerome Ferretti carving the pieceHere's Jerome Ferretti carving the pieceThe bricks are just fired and reasembled at the site in Rochester MI. Jerome and I do all the work based on a designers wishes and mock-ups Jerome made to their wants. Jeromes work is much better than these basic floral designs. When I get time I'll post some shots of the tower we make this week. Don T.

Art Bricks

Hi Bob,
I'm Jerome.
I was injured before the creation of the Obelisks. So, I asked Donny if he'd help me. his assistance was so appreciated. He and I collaberated on design and he was given credit and was paid for his help.
We have been asked to do more and Don will be on the yop of my list to make all the work. Pleas visit my website at:
www.jeromium.com to see most of my ceramic creations. I hope Don is available for any future endeavors.I use metal for almost all of my support. Please consider me for any ceramics or brick on any of your future work.
