Thank you, CW. It will probably be a minimum of two or three months before I can get around to doing something like this, but I'm really looking forward to it. I showed my wife the picture of them and she was captivated - read, "I want some of those!" (grin) It isn't often she sees something that really grabs her like that and she has exquisite taste so you can be very proud. I'm thinking maybe a pair with a steampunk motif would be cool, and perhaps a pair of tiny little scissors, too. Fun times ahead! Rich ![]() As many times as I have been

What an absolutely terrific
What an absolutely terrific idea! The perfect use for those otherwise-too-small cutoffs from damascus billets and the like. The resulting item is unique and quite exceptional.
This is one of those absolutely outstanding ideas that makes me wonder why *I* couldn't have thought of it. I'm going to take it and file of the serial numbers and use it myself. Larceny as the sincerest form of flattery, right? (grin) I might even try to make up a little mokume' gane' billet from some silicon bronze, copper and brass or some such.
Thanks for sharing this great concept. Your execution is also great. Very impressive!
