Very unique idea!
I like this quite a lot. A replacement for a traditional handrail on a set of stairs. Very interesting.

Really a unique and effect solution, Matt! Looks terrific from the room side, is the stairway side the same? That is, are the folilage elements and trunk hollow forms?

A very cool piece that will go in my "ideas" folder for those times when I'm having a creative drought. Thanks for sharing it!

WOW Matt.....thats very weird....My first reaction was that I didnt like it.....but 5 mins later I'm still looking and its grown on me. I love the shape of the trunk....the lower part seems to be oozing down the stairs.

A great piece of art....I'd like to see a close-up of the trunk if possible.
