A little sculpture I made awhile ago, I at first really disliked it and would only keep it in the workshop but the wife insisted I bring it in the house. I think its starting to grow on me and now enjoy it staring at me with its one big eye.

Nice!

This is a very interesting piece...glad you brought it inside + gave it a good home. How did you get the coloration? Patina or paint? SteelyJan

Its black rustoleum paint

Its black rustoleum paint that was scuffed up with scotchbrite to make it look well worn. I beleive I then shot it again with a clearcoat to keep the bare steel from rusting.

Nice sculpture I like it.

What a great sculpture I love whatever that is wrapped around it and the bevel gear on top also I love the wrenches for legs. Well done.

I see whats wrapped around now its a file.

How did you bend that file without cracking it? Them things are hardened steel I bet you heated it up with a torch didnt you. Anyway nice work.

Thanks for the compliments, I really liked your stuff also. Your steel-izard was incredible.
This was pretty much made from the scrap tools in my scrap pile that I liberated from my father in law (Farmer). Hopefully he did not notice much of it missing.
Most of the tools were shaped hot using my propane forge and a swage block.
