I've never been to Hawaii. It must have been a great place to be a kid. I have Hibiscus in bloom in the garden as I type. Fact is here in this part of Florida, I'm never far from finding one in bloom regardless of the season. Love 'em. On a clear day, if you're real quiet, you can almost hear them screaming "Look at me! I'm awesome! Look what I did, just for you!" Results may vary. Brad
