Here is an orchid that I have been wanting to try. No there's no copper, all steel. Sorry it's blurry.
I inserted a better picture.

Your orchid looks great. I really like the contrast with the blackened steel and the blue at the end.

Mele- This is fantastic!

Mele- This is fantastic! Your colors are wonderful and this has beautiful flow (as does all your stuff). It is so nice to see work from you again. We are lucky enough to live about 5 minutes from Longwood Gardens in Pennsylvania. They are having an orchid extravaganza and sale in March. They are a wonderful resource for the artist regarding plants and horticulture. My wife and I go there often and we speak of your wonderful work when they are there.

Thanks so much Rob, I was

Thanks so much Rob, I was relatively pleased with this so I think I may try some different kinds of orchids. Your comments are always so uplifting, Mele

Thanks for the complements.

Thanks for the complements. Well I heated the steel after forming and sprayed water on it and it turned a bluish green. It really looked nice, when I sealed it the color changed to a blackish. I am going to try and re due the finish today to get the blue-green back and then not seal it. It is for a friend that loves orchids that always helps me with everything. A surprise.
Thanks, Mele

Lovely work, what do you seal it with that makes the colour change. (And for those who may wonder about my spelling I'm from Canada, you know we spell weird here)

Well I'm not using permaseal

Well I'm not using permaseal and that is most likely my problem. I need to just get the right stuff. It came off easily with acetone and I was able to re due the color. It is a nice bluish now.
Thanks Mele
