Tuscan Castle railings ,detail

This is a detail shot of the front facade of the Tuscan Castle I made railings for which took a year to complete.
Notice that each 10 ft.section is slightly different in how the scrolls are oriented and how the sections mate with one another. Each section of the huge deck has a different arc.
A repeating pattern or shape like this can be a challenge to keep the visual flowing from one end to the other without it getting boring...
We had to carry the upper balcony railings all the way through the house and up the stairs without bumping into anything since the whole interior had been painted the day before. The painters were very nervous as they watched us cart these heavy metal fabrications through their freshly painted and pristine environment...I was a bit nervous too.LOL. But we made it happen without any disasters.
