"Symmetry Panel",Tuscan Castle detail

Here's another of the upstairs panels for the Tuscan castle.
I tried to design in true Art Nouveau Style while presenting original work and making each of the 12 panels interesting alone but also integrated with each other.I think one can see the influence of Victor Horta in my design, especially in this panel. Unlike the Art Nouveau designers at the turn of the century, this work was constrained by current modern California building codes which are currently requiring no gap larger than 4 inches in a railing. Thus you can see the challenge I was presented with,to infuse beauty in the design, keep the eye flowing as one views the totality of the composition, and still adhere to the safety codes...
Forged steel with a clear coat lacquer finish.
