Street Entrance Door ,with forgings

This is one of a dozen pieces I designed and fabricated for a client in Belvedere on the lagoon. The door has a redwood frame faux painted like driftwood (and to match the stonework colors of the interior Tuscan courtyard),with a trellis of vine growth in mid-panel and grasses on the lower panel in forged steel with a rust patina.
On the left side of the door is a section of vine with more reddish leaves. this is because the client requested there be more leaves added to obstruct access to the latch through the latticework from the outside. I made an extra vertical vine with 25 leaves on it and inserted it in the door. It has been patinated but darkens with time so in another month there will be no color difference.
