I designed this entrance door for a Japanese teahouse in Marin County. The Zen style grasses are cut-out of the door which is 1/4 inch steel plate ,acid washed. The angle of the sun in the early morning shines through the cutouts and projects the image of the grasses onto the pavement of the street.
