Crenellated Bronze sink,mirror polish

This is one of my SILICON BRONZE SINKS polished out to a mirror finish. It will be flush mounted in a slab of black onyx that will be water jet cut to accommodate EXACTLY the amorphous perimeter shape. You can see the sanding table in the background that allowed me to sand the edge perfectly flat after trimming with a cut off-saw. It seemed the simplest most expeditious way to accomplish the task...
The pattern seen inside the bowl is the reflection of the ceiling joists in my shop.
The final polished surface of the bowl is accomplished by Mother's Brand wheel polish and preserved by carnauba wax. Nearly any car wax will work for both polished bronze and copper. With stainless it isn't as necessary to wax the surface, but it helps...

Update: July 31st
The client drove up from San Francisco to get his bowl and flipped out when he saw it.
He ordered two more for the other bathrooms in his house, another bronze one and a stainless one ...Yes !

Is there a secret?

Just curious, I have done polished bronze, copper, brass etc. To my knowledge just putting a coating of wax does not do the trick. Not so much that the wax gets rubbed off but because wax is not completely air tight. Therefore in the future the polish job will have to be redone because of tarnishing. Now being that it is a sink I hope nothing their can scratch it. Hmmmm toothpaste got abrasives?

Hey Warren,
Yes, it does take some maintenance. That is fully conveyed to the client, and their choice ...
This will be the powder room sink so will not get so much use. The stainless one will be a kitchen prep sink (I believe),like this one:

I was wondering if you have ever considered a clear powder coating. I hear you can barely jack hammer it off. I was also wondering if you do your own bronze casting?

Dear Stefani,
I am handicapped in that I have a fundamental and philosophical aversion to reproduced 3 dimensional art...So the few castings I've done (in silicon bronze) are one-offs:

My experience with clear powder coats is that they are NOT that durable, especially for a high use/wear object such as a sink(even a powder room sink).
They for instance have NEVER been effective for say a STEEL sculpture that is exposed to the elements ,outside in say,New England. But there may be a new product that you're referring to that I'm unaware of...Kick down sista.LOL
