The inspiration for this silicon bronze sink was the abalone shell. I have used an 85 ton arbor press to form the bronze sheet which is a stout 1/8th inch thick. It was designed to have a surface mount configuration (revealed on top of a counter),so I have formed and welded a foot on it as a base. The coloring on the outside of the bowl is a true acid patina and the interior of the bowl has been polished.
