I like the floating candle idea for as it moves around the light cast on the wall will move. Here is one I made a long time ago, solid bar, hand forged, glass back piece, made for a 4-5” candle. As the candle flickers the color cast on the wall moves in and out. As the candle get shorter the color cast on the wall goes higher. With a candle in your bowl the color may work the same way. Pat |

This is a MAGNIFICENT piece
This is a MAGNIFICENT piece Stephen! My advice would be to simplify though... it would be terrific as an oil lamp with a floating wick! If you must have electric then redesign and bring the wiring through a flared cone of some sort that curves out of the wall... maybe a rolled and curved cone that looks something like a horn cup?
