Railing commission- on it's way

here's the first part of the railing I'm working on. The overlaying of different stock was fun. Like a jigsaw puzzle. Trying to figure out a better finish then paint or patina. maybe an ink stain. Any thoughts????SteelyJan

Great railing panel design. Is it based on the paintings of Mondrian? The design is very strong, will it be a repeat pattern is each panel different?

Hi Janet, the rail looks even better standing up. Really great design, i'm excited to see how you finish it. The ink stain idea has me curious. Is it an indoor or outdoor railing?
