Janet,
Thats really great. Are some of the elements round stock? It's hard to tell. I would like to se a closer picture of the weaving. Never mind coming up with the ideas, I would like to watch the fabrication process. I will have to make sure you are in the minddle of something if I ever get to come up!

yes it's a combo of 1/2" round , 2"x 1/2" rect, and 1"x 1/2"
its all overlaid ,very little welding to the different stocks.
It's like doing a giant jigsaw puzzle. It's fun because I am not tied down to any specific pattern. The newel post will be two open rectangular posts with a chunk of glass sandwitched
in between. That will be the difficult part.
