This is one my early days some many years ago however I like the photo and setting so here it is for all to view.
I really like that gate. Nice work...I love the scroll work!
I will post a driveway gate with scrolls just for you. I watched one of your video's where you where using what looked like a wooden mallet to shape and flatten the surface of a half round shape, what i liked was the concentration on your face and the fact that you only bilked only after very long time , this showed the commitment and passion you have towards your work, these are very good qualities to have. Continue to excel Jamie, still very impressed with your web site.
I can't wait to see the driveway gate! I have always loved scrolls...Medieval, Renaissance, and Victorian styles are very rich in appearance-the curves, and boldness of the scrolls...such beauty, and amazing how those of the past who created scroll work paid close attention to detail. Now that's pure commitment.
Thanks for watching my video...that was from the workshop I took in Ireland with Master Silversmith, Brian Clarke. I traveled along way to see him, and gain all the knowledge I could in three weeks. I do love working with metal-no matter what type...there is beauty in the medium.
Cheers to metal-spiders and all!
