This might be a dumb

This might be a dumb question but, do you deside which areas will have glass in the beginning or after the design is done and then deside which places look best? Like I said before, I think making ramdome designs look right is alot harder than it looks.

Modern

Steelyjan very modern and sleek something. I like the glass really adds another dimension to it. The main post is pretty nifty. Hey instead of trying to adjust your camera why not just load the software from your camera on your computer and edit there. This picture here is such of tease of a real great piece.

Setting

Hi SteelyJan & Rob,
The rails look so much better in their final setting. The steel, glass and wood combine to make lots of beautiful lines and color. I especially enjoy viewing through the stair rail and seeing more rail behind it. This pleases me. Nice work Jan, and nice photo Rob.Sorry, nothing critical to add.

Janet this rail turned out

Janet this rail turned out great, congrats. I really like the posts, and all of the geometric forms that are created in the interior. My eye ends up trying to follow the individual lines as they make their way through the railing. As always, your incorporation of glass adds just enough color and depth to really set the railing off. What is the finish, paint, bluing? If you get the chance I'd love to see more picts.

Hi Jan, Definetely looks

Hi Jan,
Definetely looks great in situ. People hav already mention outstanding caracteristics of your rail. I see the glass, colors, and your particular geometric design, presenting an interesting combination: nice contrast yet mixes in with the sorrounding... Excellent. nelson.

I do have some other pictures...

Although , the house isn't done yet , which means I will have to go there and reshoot my pictures later.I did get some good shots...maybe I will email them to Jake as I can't resolve this loading issue...I must get to the MAC store, and find out why I can't re-size my photos....SteelyJan

I can't get the pictures

I can't get the pictures from my camera to re-size either. I just e-mail them to myself (right click on the picture and chose sent to mail recipiant and it resizes it) and them save them again and I can use them for posting.

newel post

i have never seen anything like that newel post!
mind blowing.
it's similar to the other rail you did a couple years back,
but you've not repeated yourself...you took it to the next level.
impressive!
