hate the bronze fever that goes with it! Forging bronze is not easy. But, it is better if you know where to purchase your bronze. The best bronze you can purchase for forging comes from Germany. Thanks for the compliment! Karin Valerius » reply Karen- This is amazing!

Hi Karin, the railing is really stunning. The contrast in the colors is great. I've yet to do a spiral staircase and I'm not sure I would know how if I was given the opportunity. Nice work. Jake Balcom » reply I have more photos....

I am trying to figure out how to download them. I believe the file size that I have them in is too large. I have a beautiful close-up that I have been trying to download. Any suggestions? I can't get any of the other photos to download. They are in the correct format, so that's not the problem. BTW, you may not know this but the designer and fabricator of this railing is a retired Master, and dubbed "The Guru of Artist Blacksmithing", William (Bill) Valerius. I can't take the credit on this job. But, I have been lucky to have the best teacher I know. Just thought I'd let you folks know that. (not a brag -- me blushing). I thought perhaps you would enjoy some photos of work we have done throughout the years. (And, not promoting business either because that's a no-no) I won't take any credit for his work. I will for the pieces and parts that I have done. I love to do leaf work, florals, and metal sculpture. And, since he's retired, I do miss being so involved in the business. Therefor, I am in the process of sketching designs for some new metal sculptures I want to make, so it will be very interesting here for me. And, I hope to do a showing after I'm finished. Keeping fingers crossed. Takes much time to do! I have some photos of finished work, but not all the photos turned out that great. I am trying to post a piece I made that was shown at NOMMA Museum for a number of years. It is now gracing my frontroom wall. I treasure this piece as it was my first attempt at wall sculpture many years ago. Karin Valerius » reply |
