Dragonfly Panel-new wading bird- in progress

Dragonfly Panel-new wading bird- in progress

Hi Everyone!
back from my week of work...re worked that last panel. I think I have a better bird-image. This is the last piece then I put on the handrail cappings and start the finishing!!!! The art meeting at our place went really well. I met some amazing artists, and they all knew how to cook!!! Everyone brought something to eat or drink.
I met a great woman who has a gallery in Pa. might be interested in helping me with some public art.Might trade some work with some people.(that means my work is tradeable!) Also might have a gate commission. My studio discussion went over really well. Alot of studio envy!!!! I do have my dream studio. It was all positive.
I'll post more as it progresses....oh and we might start a blog site amongst the group. It will be a great way to share!Like here!!!! Janet R.

Looks great

That looks very nice, hope you are happy with it now. I like the way you set the edges and then just start filling in the center. Looks like a good way to work. I think that would even work for me.

I always like your work, Janet.

Hi Janet, I like your new

Hi Janet,

I like your new bird. The change in the beak and the legs make it a Heron and you were able to protray it in simple lines. Way to go. By coincidence I'm doing a Great Blue Heron among Cattails in copper as a patio wall hanging. It is a local bird, so that is the reason I commented on the first bird you did. I think you have captured it now, and good luck with the rest of the project. Your work is an inspiration.

Hi Janet, the panel and bird

Hi Janet, the panel and bird look great. It can be frustrating to have to go back and rework something, I've been there all too often, but usually the second time ends up looking even better. I like all of the progress picts and am excited to see all of the pieces as one unit with the glass insets.

Wow, Janet! This is so exciting to watch unfold. It's kind of like a really good book that you can't put down until its finished!
