Stairway

What are the treads made from? I like what you did with the balusters, giving the same offset. Do you do CADD drawings or fly by the seat of your anvil?

freestyle

this was made years ago before computers were available to me
the stringers were made from 2 inch square bar fullered at regular intervals and folded on the weakened spot. I then welded inside the fold to stop them opening with the accumulated weight.
The treads are made from checker plate which has the same lozenge shape on the surface as appears in each fold.
what makes this more complex is the fact that the staircase curves through about 90 degrees from bottom tread to landing.

Guiseppe,
These Stairs are wonderful, I really like the hard lines and the Contemporary Style. Lots of Pepsi color to. Very well done!
