Swan Fire

Hi all,
Have just finished this fire basket for some folks who have a pair of swans living on their lake.
I was thinking of sticking some bull rushes on the back but maybe it would look too fussy?

This is very beautiful. I agree, don't add anything. It looks great just as it is, I think anything else would detract from the swans. I would really like to see a closer picture. By the way.... cool shop!

Nice design Andy, very swan like, with the wing shape forming the basket. Is it mild or stainless? what is the hammer in your shop? I just got a Sayha, have still to pick it up tho'
Are the heads forged or fabbed?

That's beautiful, Andy. I agree with Mele, I wouldn't add the bull rushes. Besides, the "back" may be relative to which way the wind's blowing. 

Is this stainless, or does it get some kind of finish, or ..?

Thanks Dick. Think the rushes are going to get binned.
Yes, the swans are 304 and i'm fed up of grinding the cursed things!
The grate and back are mild however.

I agree with the consensus,they're perfect the way they are.
I especially like that you've sculpted the feet 3 dimensionally. That's a very satisfying effect and worth the extra effort,IMHO.
