Wrought Iron Gate "Gateway" |
|
I had a client recently contact me about one of the wrought iron gates that she had seen on my web site. She wanted a reproduction made for her home in New Hampshire. We talked briefly about the gate, the time it would take to reproduce it, method of payment, and delivery. She was very excited with the price and specifications so I sent her a proposal to sign which delineated our agreement. Once I recieved the signed agreement with the downpayment, I started forging the wrought iron gate components and began to assemble the gate. During this time period, I reported back to Sheri on the progress of the gate, and sent her some photos of the work in progress. Sheri was so pleased with the gate and how we handled communications over the internet that I asked her if I could quote some of her email message so that visitors could realize how easy and economical it is to deal with my studio over the Internet. Following is an email message I received from her after the gate arrived: |

Enrique, Joe arrived this morning with the gate, and helped me set it up in the driveway (you're right--the van did work out perfectly). I can't tell you how much I LOVE it--I constantly found myself going to a window or outside just to look at it. It is so pleasing to the eye. Very elegant, very unusual. Perfect! Ah, if only you could have seen it when Patrick pulled into the driveway and parked next to the gate. He literally jumped out of his car (and left it running)(with the kids still in it) wide-eyed and whooping and was just so incredibly excited and thrilled. He said it was one of the best presents he's ever gotten in his life. He could not stop talking and exclaiming over it! And believe me, he's a picky guy. I don't think I've ever given him anything he liked so much as this. And then I was the one who found HIM outside or at a window gazing at it! It was just perfect. You did a great job, Enrique! You're a talented guy. It's going to seem strange not to have it in the back of my head that I have to call you or e-mail you to check on the progress of the gate...but it is so grand to look out the window and see it there. It's beautiful. Thanks. Until our next project, Sheri |
