Enrique Vega

Enrique Vega has been creating metalwork since 1980. Enrique'sarchitectural & public art work include custom details such asrailings, stairs, and gates, as well as one-of-a-kind furnishings and art pieces. Unlike many studios, Enrique takes ahands-on approach to his craft, from project development and computerdesign through actual creation and installation of the artwork.

This approach provides a more personal final piece that isoriginal and unique. Now, with the use of computer technology,Enrique is extending the personal touch to the commissioningprocess with clients who live a great distance from his shop inrural Apex, North Carolina. Enrique has recently completed acommission in which the client and artist were communicating solelythrough the World Wide Web. He encourages other artists to try thisunique way of crossing the physical barriers of traditionalcommunications media.
