After acceptance of the design drawings by the client, I output scaled versions to a Roland PNC-950 CAMM-1 plotter. The drawing will be used as a template for the creation of the actual railing.

Some of the features of this plotter which I like over standard drafting plotters, is that this plotter is designed to cut stencils. The print head can use various inks and special razors for cutting vinyl and rubber sheets. The plotter is used by sign makers and can handle a 24 inch wide roll of unlimited length, or standard drafting media.

I originally got this plotter for a public art project I received which required 52-24" x 24" etched glass panels depicting a healing sun setting over clouds. The rubber resist masks for sand etching were all cut directly into the material using this plotter and saved many man-hours of hand cutting stencils.
