Since the client had really enjoyed the ornamental ironwork which I had produced for their first home, and they wanted to continue with this curvilinear style, I decided to create a similar effect on the second floor railings of their new home. The lighting from the circular window will light this ornamental ironwork with brass highlights and bring special attention to the tall plant-like newel post.

You will notice that the perspective of this drawing is not quite three dimensional. The reason is because this section of the drawing was actually created to scale in a two dimensional plane prior to being skewed to fit the perspective drawing. The next page will show the original 2-D drawing and explain the importance of scaled drawings.
