Thanks Nelson, the material is mild steel, and the blue tone was kind of an accident and developed while i was wire brushing with a grinder after forging it(in the cooldown stage). I've done this before on thicker material and ended up with a silver finish, but here it was blue. I though it was kind of a nice contrast so i left it.
