In response to my sketch video of Beethoven , I received a commission to fire-paint on copper , the composer Mauro Giuliani .
This video outlines the process I used to do the study, for this portrait .
Some points - water on a brush is the perfect darkener and outline tool - let cool often - Always bloom an area a little less than you need to in the first stages , as it's easier to go forward than to go back . This a "primed" species of Firecolour , you will get very different results from a sheet that is not pre-annealed . More to come...
