Stan Slotter plays jazz in front of Piannojazz by Nic East.
Hi Rob; Pianojazz was originally drawn while listening to Pianist Tom Lawton practice. His studio was adjacent to mine in 1981 and I often enjoyed listening to his colorful playing as he composed or arranged his music. I wanted to make a picture of what I saw in my mind as I listened and so I drew this on a scrap of letter sized graph paper with the idea of enlarging it later. Recently, I took a few shots of trumpet player Stan Slotter in front of the painting which hangs in my Great Room.
