Hey Gillis, and

Hey Gillis, and everyone.
Nice gates !
I'm assuming doing this project pretty much single handed, apart from installation - although if any of my buddies are at a loose end if and when the project comes off, I may be glad of some help.
One of the features I made sure to work into the design was to make it modular so that hopefully each piece will be just about handleable...?!
As for time - well I rarely get that right, but I think I guessed at about 2 months. I now have to go back over my notes and make sure I'm not doing myself down ! The next meeting at which the project will be hopefully approved isn't till November, and with steel prices as volatile as they are, I'm not going to going to give any firm estimates till the last minute.
I have always been hopeless at every c.a.d. programme I've tried, and very slow and poor at freehand drawing, but I did this with google sketchup, WHICH IS FREE !
I've been able to email my client the 3dmodel so they can "walk around" it, and see how it looks from different angles. I think it's a great sales tool.
Took me a while to do, but this is one of the first times I've had a client pay me(a little)to work up a design, so I got to learn how to do it and be subsidised !
