Might be time to do some sample pieces of finishes that you can show people, and if you're buying in parts I just got a catalogue from Lawler where they sent a wholesale price catalogue and then one you can show a client which I thought was really useful. There's enough to worry about with an install anyway so covering any unknowns you can is a good thing!
