Hey Nelson, Yes the purpleheart is imported, I am located in illinois, I buy scrap peices from a hardwood dealer in st. louis. It's beautiful wood though isn't it. I didn't know it was so weather resistant thanks for the info. the other peice isn't a church piece although it is definitly inspired by baptismal fonts and would work really nicely as one. I actually use it as a birdbath for the time being until it is needed for a show or sold.
