Janet, your work is developing really well... you have a good design sense.
Have you ever thought of using TIG instead of stick or MIG ..... you can get small inverter welding sets that have a scratch start TIG torch(I use this on site).... this will enable you to leave most welds as an attractive detail( particularly where it is hard to grind) and the time you will save by not having to clean every weld will soon pay for the equipment.....a TIG will also enable you to play with other metals..many can be joined for decorative purposes- even dissimilar.
Also, the dc quality of the stick weld is far superior in appearance.
