This knife was forged out of saw blade and banding steel damascus. I have started to use recycled metals in all my knives. Initial forging went easily I am unhappy with the guard thickness, but it is too late to change it. The Alaskan maple handle has a lot of depth in the grain. As you can see I am not a photographer!
