precarious balance.
tipped a little of center and it tumbles on . . .
We were doing yin/yang tiles for a project and didn't yet know about the balance aspect of the symbol. I had done it on a diagonal and had a day's work rejected because to the Chinese client it was like hanging the flag upside down; a symbol of chaotic change and distress. The masses side by side mean stability and balance.
