![]() Larry and I gave a talk at Sivertson's Gallery in Grand Marais Mn Feb 9. It went fairly well... the first 2 or 3 seconds were a bit unnerving for me, but Larry loved it. We had some of our tools and a small anvil for people to see. I used modeling clay as a demo on how to move metal. Being in a gallery setting, a forge would have been very disruptive to all of the fine pieces exhibited there.... so, modeling clay worked great to give people the idea. It was cold and windy that night and we still had quite a few people show. They were great! Asking questions and laughing when appropriate..Met Liz Sivertson, owner of Sivertson Gallery, and was very impressed by her patience and great humor...nice lady. (She came up and introduced herself. Having my head up my.....in the clouds... I didn't ketch her name and said, "and you are?...." 'Here's your sign'...she took it well.) » read more | 17 comments Reply |
