Get out the instruction booklet for your camera. You may have a setting for different types of lighting. My Canon A620 has such settings and it is not an expensive camera. You can purchase lights that put out different parts of the spectrum. Go to a jewelry store and check out the lights they use to make that stuff look sooooooo good.You can also alter a picture by adding or removing tint. Just some ideas to play with.
