First up....Albert Paley. I made a trip to the Renwick Gallery specially to see those gates....fantastic. I've just had a look at the dust jacket for "The Art of Albert Paley". The gates are featured on the cover.... It says "forged and fabricated steel, brass, bronze and copper."
Corten is available in Australia...its just hard to find. BHP requires a minimum order of 1000 tonnes (last time I checked) to produce it. Your best bet is to find someone producing a large industrial job in Corten and buy a few of their off-cuts. The tree-top walk in Kings Park is Corten....as I believe are a number of sculptures along the Roe Highway
If you find a supplier and need to order a lot to be taken seriously, let me know....I am also keen to give it a go.
