I'm sure i took the LONG way around to make this piece. I started with a 2" pipe and slowly drew it down to a point. Slow so as not to collapse the pipe. Then forged a lot of scrap pieces i had laying around, heating then hammering them very randomly in our 50# little giant. Made lots of them. Some larger for the base of the trunk and then smaller for the top of the tree. then i proceeded to weld them on the pipe, using an acetylene torch to heat the pieces to wrap the pipe as i went... then grind down the welds... die grinder as well as a hand grinder.... everything is tweaked as i go with the torch.... hows that??? get the idea?...lots of work, but i liked the result...i'll do it different next time....Oh Duh: dah-ahr!!! got it Bill! Thanks
more work
