Flower vase is made from ONE sheet of copper. There are no solder seams. It is made from one ten inch discs of copper.
This piece spent more time on the drawing table than it did anywhere else. The piece is really kind of funny. Of all the pcs here it's the one that is picked up last, eyes are drawn to bowls and platters. But it's the piece people can't seem to let go of. The concave bottom surprises people. The fact that the form creates another cone shape in reverse to the outside shape is just a treat. When they are looking at the bottom they realise that there are some very organic shapes to the petals that appear so stylized from the top. The piece also twists as it climbs. In my early posts are some pieces called idea development this piece comes from that copper dreaming. Thanks for your comments very much appreciated. Enjoy Brad
