Yes, this one would require sawing. I've done a few others that don't. Like this little 'pagoda' :

The copper can be cut with hand shears and then filed and the 'pillars' are pre-fab little tube beads. :) The top is a bead cap. This can be altered in a number of ways and goes great on an omega as a slide. :)
