Hi! I'm new to this site. I'm originally from the Hudson Valley (NY) and am currently living in Northern Vermont. I have taken several metalworking classes and find that I really like it. The classes included raising, casting, forging, enameling, & jewelry making. I'm very interested in ancient metalworking techniques. I like to experiment and recently taught myself how to sandcast from Tim McCreight's Practical Casting book. I'm about to try to do filigree work based upon info from Oppi Untracht's Jewelry: Concepts & Techniques. I'm really impressed with the work presented in the gallery and look forward to learning from and sharing with all of you.
