Sorry it took so long to get back. The restoration of the piece involves: removing the rusted steel super-structure • re-fabicating the super-structure • repairing any seems that are week and all rips in the copper • two arms need to be replaced with new ones • and the pieces need patinaing. Within each of these areas there are steps that entail many great artisans. As I'm able to get pic's of the various stages I'll post them here. I'm also installing a stainless steel exhaust stack on the third roof of a house built in the mid 1800's. When it's installed I'll post some of those pictures.
p.s. The brick project is going to start again at the end of the month; we build the four obilisk and get PAID.
