You know I've never been too fond of skulls maybe because of the implications of death, but I have to say this is the first time that I have been astounded with the beauty of the skull in context with jewelry. It goes so well with the pearls and the sterling silver. There seems to be so much meaning is this piece of jewelry. Actually this is more than jewelry.
I've recently been studying some of the ancient South American Indian methods of energy transference and understand that silver is related to the moon, death, and rebirth. Some mythologies include references to metallurgy and shed light on the symbolic associations of metals in cosmological and social contexts; shared symbols become important in social communication and in the determination of cultural identity.
I'd really be interested in reading about your reason for creating this unique art.
