Janet's desk

Here's a desk I did last year. Same clients. After my original sketch and concept of inlaying resin and steel into wood, I came to realize that this was'nt as simple as I thought. I thought a woodworker would be able to inlay the pieces ,Not!!! I did find a group of metal workers in Brooklyn to help me out. They literally cast the resin right into the piece. I did the base myself. Had steel bend in an arc and formed the cabinet. It's stainless and was a bit problematic to weld and clean. But I got it done.
Good luck to J.R>, if you can sketch it,you can build it. Janet R.
